Holiday Wishes - And a little bit more....
First, I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Very Happy, Healthy and Fruitful New Year!
For 2011, I plan to commit to everything that will bring me (and others) peace and I think I’m off to a good start. In this past year, I made many commitments to myself- some kept, others not. One important goal (and reason for this blog) was to live and work towards my passion. Because of that, and as of today, I was hired as a (work-at-home) Marketing Strategist for www.ArtStamps.com. I swore in my last update that I would not stop until I found what I want, and I truly did. It includes writing, blogging, creating, children’s self-esteem, giving-back and much more…
I think when you set out to do something and the right reasons are behind it, you find exactly what you are looking for, and then some…
My sisters and I learned some hard lessons with the HipPurse Company and letting go was a frequent phrase in 2010- and because of that, I believe there are some wonderful opportunities on the horizon for our company as well – I’ll keep you posted.
It’s really easy to start something and commit to it, but the hard part is continuing the journey until the goal is fully achieved. There are many days I fall down and at times, stay down for a bit. All we can ever hope for, I think, is to keep getting back up and move forward. Every little step and every little breakthrough allows for more peace. My mother taught me that years ago, and for that and other reasons, I’m grateful for her. My sister, Ladene, has gone through a lot with me this year, especially in business. If it wasn’t for her positive attitude, balance in choices, and support…I’m not so sure things would be where they are today. There is more to come on those two; as well as many other important people that inspire or impact my life. In some cases, it's daily - I'll get to my Gayle King's too :)
Final thought...my sister, Sandy, shows me every day what true commitment is for creating a new life. I admire her courage and strength to “dig deep” and be 100% committed all of the time. I personally do not know any other person who has chosen that genuine path. One day I will elaborate more, but for now I will just say -she has inspired me for the upcoming year, but more importantly- I know she will live the life she was always meant to live. There is nothing better than that…for anyone!
I often wonder if my dad has anything to do with all of this, or if he’s bribing God in one way or another up there :) but either way, I’m just thankful for it all.
I think I have a good resolution for all of us this year…
Let’s all live the life we were meant to live!
Happy New Year!
